Bisleri Wins Mahatma Award 2026 for CSR Excellence Under Greener Promise

Bisleri International wins the Mahatma Award 2026 for CSR Excellence for the second time, recognising its Greener Promise initiatives in water conservation, plastic waste management, community engagement and sustainable business practices.

Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., India's leading packaged drinking water company, has received the Mahatma Award for the second time, earning recognition for its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives under Greener Promise, its flagship sustainability programme. The CSR Excellence Award acknowledges the company's efforts in water conservation, plastic waste management and community engagement.

This year, the Mahatma Award received more than 1,900 entries, with only 70 winners recognised across diverse categories.

The award ceremony was attended by Dr Santrupt Mishra, Rajya Sabha MP, and Dr Kiran Bedi, the country's first woman IPS officer, who served as the Chief Guest. Ms Sukanya Bharat Ram, Mahatma Gandhi Ji's great-granddaughter, attended as a Guest of Honour.

Inspired by the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi, the Mahatma Award recognises individuals and organisations that drive positive change, work towards making the world a better place and demonstrate Gandhian ideals through transformative initiatives. The award was instituted by Gandhian and lawyer Mr Amit Sachdeva, known as the CSR Man of India, and is supported by Ms Rajashree Birla, Chairperson of the Aditya Birla Centre for Rural Development and Communication Initiatives.
